Orr Marshall’s Film Night

The Black Faun Gallery

The Black Faun Gallery is screening six experimental short films by Orr Marshall on Friday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m. The films include animation that was hand-painted with food coloring and India ink on 16mm film and 8mm stop motion animation. The subject matter ranges from Mao’s Cultural Revolution, lonely tales of Berkeley, San Francisco and New York and a film noir starring Fukiko Oguchi Marshall. Orr Marshall’s FILM NIGHT is part of the Unseen Works exhibition at the Black Faun Gallery, which features paintings from Orr Marshall’s early artistic career and first-time showings of Fukiko Oguchi Marshall’s large abstract paintings. The Unseen Works will run from October 7th to October 28th. The event is free and open to the public. There is a strobe warning for several of the films.
