Pastels on the Plaza
30th Annual Pastels on the Plaza Saturday, October 7th, 2017 The first Saturday in October is the day families, artists and sponsors gather on the Arcata Plaza for a magical art show. The sidewalk surrounding the plaza is transformed into a gallery of art with a riot of color! This benefit for Northcoast Children’s Services is supported by local businesses that sponsor an artist by making a donation of $125 or $225 for a square of sidewalk art. New businesses and artists are always welcome and encouraged to sign up early to participate in the event. Northcoast Children’s Services’ preschool programs provide support and education to more than 1000 low income families with young children - from pregnancy up to age five - in over 30 locations throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties each year.
