Pints 4 Nonprofits :: Cape Mendocino Lighthouse Preservation Society

Gyppo Ale Mill

In honor of the Public Lands Day at Mal Coombs Park on September 14th, the Gyppo Ale Mill and the Cape Mendocino Lighthouse Preservation Society (CMLPS) to come quench your thirst after a grand day of volunteering! CMLPS is calling volunteer to join them for a day of light house work, native plant gardening, trail work and beach clean up! After the days events wrap up, join us at the Gyppo Ale Mill as we raise money for the society. The Cape Mendocino Lighthouse was moved to Shelter Cove (from Cape Mendocino) in the late 1990’s and opened to the public in May 0f 2000. The non-profit society raised the money and recruited the volunteers for the movement project. The society is responsible for the maintenance of the lighthouse and has a group of volunteers that open it for visitors in the summer. The lighthouse building is owned by Humboldt County and it is located on BLM land in Mal Coombs Park in Shelter Cove, California. Each pint of beer purchased between the event hours, the Gyppo Ale Mill will donate $2 to Cape Mendocino Lighthouse Preservation Society. If you can’t make it during the event hours, not to fret! Gyppo also provide tins on each table through the entire event, if you so desire to make an additional donation! www.facebook.com/events/2385857291637677/
