Plants for all Ages at Sequoia Park

Sequoia Park, Eureka, CA

The California Native Plant Society is hosting a family get-together at Sequoia Park, meeting at the fountain near the corner of T Street and Glatt. This will be an introduction to a handful of the native and non-native plants along with a few key ideas. Joann Kerns will present a half hour of basic botany. Potted plants will be given away to take home and grow. For any who want to linger, expect play time with plants and people who like them. Bring your children, ages 5 and up, to enjoy hearing about how important native plants are to us, and how we can help them thrive in our park, and in the world around us.
