The first women actors on the English stage pioneer a profession in PLAYHOUSE CREATURES by April De Angelis, performed for two weekends in Gist Hall Theatre: April 24-26 and May 1-3 at 7:30 p.m., matinee at 2 p.m. on May 4. There’s comedy, drama and tragedy backstage as well as onstage in this provocative glimpse of women lost to history, whose legacy greets us from every stage and screen. Directed by Mark Swetz, produced by Humboldt State U. Theatre, Film & Dance dept.
