Presidents Week Camp SCRAP

SCRAP Humboldt

Are you (or do you know) a child grades 1st-5th who is interested in the arts and the environment? Monday, February 18th through Friday, February 23rd from 8:30 to 3:30 p.m., SCRAP Humboldt is hosting a week long camp. This creative reuse art camp takes place in SCRAP’s Education Studio located inside SCRAP Humboldt’s store at 101 South H Street, Arcata in The Marsh District. Skills learned in Camp SCRAP improve behavior and encourage children to consider their impact on the environment. This camp focuses on the multitude of creative reuse projects that can be made from fabric scraps, paper, plastic and wood. Participants will work in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. Pre-register online at scraphumboldt.org for $175 for the week. SCRAP Humboldt is Humboldt County’s first creative reuse center located in The Marsh District, on the corner of South G and H Street in Arcata and is a 501c3 nonprofit. SCRAP Humboldt plays a vital role in the community by diverting usable materials from the waste stream, educating people about creative reuse and providing inexpensive art, craft, and office supplies. More information about their services and online registration for the Presidents Week Camp can be found at www.scraphumboldt.org.
