Reggae pioneer Prezident Brown is performing at Humboldt Brews (HumBrews) on Saturday, February 12 at 9pm. The Reggae Angels will be opening act. This upcoming show at HumBrews features two strong spiritual artists backed by an excellent six-piece roots reggae band.Replete with words of wisdom — spiritual gems to remind and encourage hearts towards righteous livity and the bliss that ensues. Prezident Brown is a Jamaican roots reggae artist who carries a universal message of love, consciousness and righteousness. Prez is a gifted vocalist who has been focusing on his calling as a singer from an early age. He is a very steady hard working artist who has never wavered in his focus. He has been touring the US consistently for the last two decades with his I Sound band. His shows are on fire, his star is rising and his fan base is growing. Prezident Brown, born Fitz Albert Cotterell, has been called, “one of the most interesting cultural dee-jays since U Roy”. Emphasizing positive messages, Prezident Brown has continued to pioneer his own direction, developing his own approach to dee-jaying that he calls, “sing chat.” Born to a Seventh Day Adventist family in Johnny’s Hill, Clarendon on the foot of the Bull Head mountains, Prezident Brown grew up in the small town of Oracabessa in the Parish of St. Mary, Jamaica.
