Prism: A 2SLGBTQIA+ Art Show
Brenda Tuxford Gallery and The Ink People Center for the Arts present “Prism.” This group show is a celebration of the visions of Queer Youth, showcasing their intimately queer perspectives through their own artwork. The exhibition will be on view from June 1-June 28, 2024 at Brenda Tuxford Galley, Ink People’s exhibition space for emerging artists, located at 422 1st St, Eureka, CA.
The show is an opportunity to showcase and uplift young 2SLGBTQIA+ artists locally and connect them to their communities. Featured artists have been tasked with showing art that represents their experience as queer youth, creating works that dance through both literal and metaphorical representations of their unique perspectives.
An opening reception for the artists will be held during the next month’s Arts Alive event on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 6-9 pm.
