Procession Dia de los Muertos

Centro del Pueblo invites you to a traditional Procession Día de Los Muertos from Fortuna to Eureka. The walk is to honor the memory of our Indigenous Immigrant community members, especially Women and Children that have died in the detention centers and at the border. Indigenous leaders from the North and South will guide our route. At 5:30 a.m. we’ll meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church (810 14th, Fortuna) to start walking during the sunrise, we’ll arrive at the Labor Temple (840 E St. Eureka) at 3 p.m. where there will be a traditional Ofrenda Community Altar. Join us to honor our ancestors, our traditions, our Immigrant Indigenous relatives, and all our Relations. SI SE PUEDE!! About the route for the Procession Please join at any point you can. The procession will be departing from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fortuna at 5:30 a.m. walking to the College of the Redwoods parking lot, where rides will be provided to Pierson’s around 1:30 to 2 p.m. From there, walking to El Buen Gusto Market around 2:30 and walk to The Labor Temple in Eureka. This last walk will take about 18 minutes. Arrive at the Temple at the start of the Festival Dia de Los Muertos.
