Pruning Old Apple Trees, a Hands-on Workshop
Learn the art of restorative pruning for your apple trees! Join Humboldt Botanical Garden volunteers, Master Gardener Annie Sicotte and the UC MasterGardeners for a hands-on demonstration and guided practice at the beautiful orchard of Mitchell Grove in Eureka. Learn to identify health problems, pruning techniques for light, air and shape, and how to encourage the development of new fruiting spurs. Turn your gnarly backyard tree into a gloriously bountiful specimen, heavy big juicy apples.
