Public Lecture: Seabirds of Trinidad

See Event Description

In two free presentations, biologist Russell Namitz of the North Coast Seabird Protection Network will share fascinating stories about seabirds that live along the Humboldt coast, and discuss how citizen scientists are gathering information to help seabirds thrive. The program will be offered twice — on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Lane in Manila; and on Tuesday, March 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Trinidad Town Hall, 409 Trinity St., Trinidad. The Trinidad Coastal Land Trust was created to provide coastal access while protecting the natural beauty and character of the Humboldt County coast from Little River to Big Lagoon. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Dunes and the Bureau of Land Management. Come join lovers and supporters of Humboldt’s coast to learn more about the seabirds that migrate and live here. For more information call Carol Vander Meer, Trinidad Coastal Land Trust director of community engagement, at 677-2501, or visit trinidadcoastallandtrust.org.
