Punch Needle Rug Workshop

Learn the ins and outs of needle punch rug making with local artist Kelsey Owens.

This workshop covers creating a design (patterns will also be available), setting up your hoop, punching, and shaving.

Students may leave with a partially finished piece but will have the knowledge to finish them on their own. Or, stop in on Maker’s Night (Fridays - see schedule for dates) to complete them and socialize with other makers for free.

All supplies included during class: Embroidery Hoop, monks cloth, punch needle, clippers for shaving rug, glue, assorted yarn*
*If you would like to use a specific color of yarn, please bring it. Maker’s Apron is just around the corner at 317 E St. and often has very affordable yarn.
