Punta Gorda Lighthouse & Elephant Seal Hike

Punta Gorda is a favorite Lost Coast destination that offers stunning coastal scenery, an historic lighthouse, and a thriving elephant seal colony. On Sunday, May 7 from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. join Mattole Restoration Council and Friends of the Lost Coast for a free hike with BLM Archaeologist, Sharyl Kinnear-Ferris; and Dr. Dawn Goley, Professor of Zoology at Cal Poly Humboldt; for this unique outing to learn about both the history and preservation of the Punta Gorda lighthouse and the elephant seal colony that resides nearby.
