The Dows Prairie Grange #505 in McKinleyville is excited to host a Quartermania on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The doors open at 5 pm to view the goodies available for auction. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with the auction. All ages welcome.

For a donation of $25, this event will include entrance for the evening festivities, a pasta and salad bar dinner, beverage, dessert, and a paddle to be used while bidding with your quarters. Additional paddles will be available for $5 each.

An “All-in” ticket for $60 means you don’t need to bring quarters and can get in on any and all prize items offered which include massages, gift cards for local restaurants, jewelry, wine, and many other baskets of goodies and local merchandise. At last year’s event, community members won thousands of dollars in prizes.

For those who have never been to a Quartermania, it’s a combination of an auction, raffle, clinking quarters, laughter and prizes. This is an important fundraiser for restoration work and building maintenance projects to keep this historic building available for the community and youth groups.

The Dows Prairie Grange #505 has been a community gathering place since the early 1940s. Over the years, it has been used by numerous civic groups, schools, churches, and non-profits. It has been used by countless individuals for weddings, memorial services, and reunions, and in recent years, they have hosted many youth groups. In addition to Girl Scouts, 4-H, and the MHS Key Club, the Grange sees up to 700 children attending the Lions Club Winter Express week-long event each December.
