Written by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek. Directed by David Powell Somewhere in the American frontier, Sarah reaches for her needle and thread. It’s time for a new quilt. Her daughters bring their mother the patches of their lives: girlhood, marriage, illness, spinsterhood, death. The fabric is unique–yet strangely familiar–to all the women. Sarah smiles, and holds them close. And then, the quilting begins. Featuring live folk music, “Quilters” is an unconventional theatrical celebration for mothers, sisters, daughters, and the men who love them. Appropriate for ages 16+.
