Reclaimed 2: Voices for Freedom

The Brenda Tuxford Gallery

“Reclaimed 2: Voices for Freedom” showcases art made from recycled and reclaimed materials, centering diverse voices on the topics of justice and equal rights.
The show features a variety of original artwork created with materials such as recycled cardboard or paper bags, found objects, and rescued fabrics - reducing ecological impact, and proving that anything can be transformed into a work of art. According to Brett M. Docherty, one of the show’s organizers, “Creating art should be affordable and accessible to everyone. We are calling upon the local art community to amplify diverse voices to speak out for equal rights and justice. Our medium is a chance to embrace the goals of sustainability, solidarity, communication and respect.”

The show will remain open throughout the month of July. The Brenda Tuxford Gallery is open to the public Thursdays and Fridays, from 12-5pm, as well as Arts Alive from 6-9pm.
