REDWOOD COMEDY FESTIVAL

The Redwood Comedy Festival features a one-day event at the Fortuna River Lodge Conference Center in Fortuna California. We are recruiting the top comedians from the Pacific Northwest.
The event will feature two stages. The main stage will feature pre-selected comedians based off of submissions. The second stage will be an open-mic stage, with a chance for comedians to compete for a spot on the main stage.
The Fortuna Business Improvement District is hosting this event as a fundraiser for the organization. Proceeds from this events will go towards the four main functions of the Fortuna Business Improvement Distict:
Promoting Fortuna’s businesses and business community through public relations and advertising.
FBID conducts coordinated marketing for the business community of Fortuna and is the center for public relations regarding business activities in Fortuna.
Promoting Fortuna and Fortuna’s businesses through community events.
FBID sponsors or supports several festivals and events to draw potential customers, either local or tourist, into Fortuna. FBID uses these events to draw positive attention to Fortuna in local and other media.
FBID assists merchant groups in marketing their own coordinated activities and helps technically and hands-on for these events.
Providing information and education to Fortuna businesses.
Through one-on-one counseling, programs and classes, FBID works to strengthen and retain existing businesses.
Assisting new and existing businesses in locating in Fortuna.
FBID works with start-up businesses, established firms and entrepreneurs in finding commercial space in Fortuna and connecting with economic development assistance.
