Redwood Hike: Headwaters Forest Reserve Elk River Trail
Environmental Protection Information Center (EPIC)
Join EPIC and Latino Outdoors for a fascinating Redwood hike along the South Fork Elk River Trail in the Headwaters Forest Reserve, and relive the history of the struggle to protect Headwaters, while learning about the contemporary challenges for management, conservation, and restoration in the reserve, and elsewhere in the redwood region.
This is a moderate 3 mile hike, which we expect to take 3-4 hours originating from the EPIC office in Arcata, CA at 145 G Street, Suite A at 10am. Space is limited, so PLEASE register.
All hikes in our series will be bilingual—providing interpretation in both English and Spanish.
Please come prepared with water, snacks, hiking shoes, and rain gear and whatever else you need to be comfortable in the forest. There is a strict NO DOGS rule in place for all our Redwood Hikes series, so please leave your companions at home.

Unase con EPIC y Latino Outdoors para una fascinante caminata de secoya a lo largo del South Fork Elk River Trail en el Headwaters Forest Reserve y reviva la historia de la lucha de proteger Headwaters, mientras aprende de los desafíos contemporáneos de la gestión, conservación y restauración en la reserva y otro lugares en la región de secoyas.
Esta es una caminata moderada de 3 millas, que esperamos tomar 3-4 horas, originando de la oficina de EPIC en 145 G Street Arcata, Suite A a las 10am. El espacio es limitado, así que por favor registrese.
