Regenerative Cannabis Farm Tour

See Event Description

Join Sanctuary Forest on Saturday, June 16th for the Regenerative Cannabis Farm Tour. Hosted by Daniel & Taylor Stein, this tour/workshop of their production-scale integrated cannabis and vegetable farm will showcase their award-winning, regenerative land stewardship practices. Participants will learn about no-till cultivation and integrated pest management, infrastructure practices such as rainwater harvesting ponds and nutrient retention ponds, and environmental integration practices such as forestry management with hugelkultur and forest composting. Briceland Forest Farm was awarded the Regenerative Cannabis Farm Award in 2017 by the Emerald Cup, honoring cultivation practices that “go beyond sustainability in that they heal, improve, and remediate.” In addition, Briceland Forest Farm is a member of Sanctuary Forest’s Fund an Acre Family, and has pledged to fund an acre to help in the Van Arken Community Forest project. The tour will be an easy walk. Please bring a lunch, water, sun hat, and sensible shoes. Please meet at the bottom Beginnings School parking lot just off of Briceland Road at 10:00am to carpool. Attendees can expect the hike to end by 2:00pm. The hike is free of charge, though donations are gladly accepted and help Sanctuary Forest offer this program year after year.
