River Kayaking

Center Activities, HSU Campus

This beginners class will open the door to the amazing world of river kayaking. The focus will be on boating safety, introduction to equipment, proper technique, paddling strokes, boat control, and how to begin to read whitewater. This class will strongly facilitate building paddler confidence. Students will start at the Arcata Community Pool to learn boating basics and practice the wet exit before getting on the river. Register by Tuesday before the class.
