RLA is always up to something FUN for their Third Friday Jazz nights- every other month at Westhaven Center for their Arts! Friday is no exception with this program of Latin Infused Jazz and the radio host, story telling Doc Stull! With Don Baraka, on sax, flute & bass clarinet, and Jon Lewis, on congas. Doc had a sports history show on ESPN, with original music by Tim Randles, and hosted a literature discussion show on KHSU. Doc’s spoken word performances include The Existential Professor, Jazz Noir and more; he has written and published short stories and poetry, and a novel: Muhammad Ali’s Robe. One reviewer characterized Stull’s poetic delivery as, “A cross between Miles Davis and Bruce Lee.” $5-20 sliding scale. Refreshments available.
