Roland Rock SoLow One Monkey Show

Redwood Curtain Brewing Company, Arcata

I’ll start off playing songs you might recognize interspersed with originals. Then, after you have had a beer or two, at 5:30 it’s “wheels up” for the Legend of Tarzan show, featuring songs from the perspective of Cheetah (Zoo Time), Jane (Now Cheetah’s Gone), Boy (Don’t Call Me Boy, and of course, Tarzan (I Am Tarzan, That’s How It Started, Cheetah’s Gotta Go).
I’ll be rocking the percussion with my feet, and spankin’ the planks with my arthritic meathooks—for three hours! That’s the only thing in common with the Grateful Dead—3 hour show. Of course, I don’t expect you to gut it out for three hours, but don’t miss —at 5:30— the Legend of Tarzan, which rocks 40 minutes of primate-propelled lyrically indulgent grooves. Dancing permitted—This ain’t Lynden, Washington!
