Rooted & Wellness Health Summit
The summit will take place Saturday May 16th from 10am - 4pm at The Sequoia Conference Center in Eureka CA.
This event will center the Black and Brown experience and expertise but we invite all identities to attend and propose workshops and offerings.
We hope to curate a space where participants will have access to Health and Wellness resources and offerings that help fill the gaps we experience in rural communities and within local cultural offerings
Workshops will be a mix of practice space, information sharing and skill share, training material and resource connection. We will be splitting offerings up according to the following tracks.
The event is free for the community and will provide meals and childcare.
We are accepting proposals for service providers to table, and for the community to offer workshops/offerings until mid April within the following themes:
Physical - Dance classes, Yoga, Somatic Practice
Spiritual/Emotional - Conflict management, Circle work
Financial - Home buyer-ship, Finance maintenance, Banking
Mental - Meditation, Breath work, Journaling, Art therapy
Wellness Room - Service providing space for massages, energy work, tarot reading etc
