Ryan Creek Restoration Day at the McKay Community Forest
The Watershed Stewards Program and Humboldt County Public Works Department invite volunteers to join us in planting native trees and removing invasive plants and litter alongside Ryan Creek in Eureka at the McKay Community Forest. The McKay Community Forest is a Humboldt County operated community forest that will soon be open to the public. It is directly west of the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. We will meet at the forest gate on Harris Street in Eureka, just west of Redwood Acres at 10 AM on Saturday, May 19th. Please bring a water bottle, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, rain boots or work shoes, and gloves if you have your own. We will provide water, snacks, tools, gloves, and a shuttle to and from the work site. We hope to see you there.
