Sara Bareilles: Good Grief

Directed by Josh Alexander, Sara Bareilles: Good Grief premiered at the Tribeca Festival earlier this year and opened in theaters nationwide on September 2. The film chronicles Bareilles as she reunites with her closest musical collaborators to record her first album in seven years, a collection of songs that emerged from a period of profound personal loss. The album was released on Aug. 28. The documentary captures Bareilles working with longtime friends and musicians Butterfly Boucher, Misty Boyce, Solomon Dorsey, Charley Drayton, and Rob Moose as they record together in a converted church in Hurley, New York. Executive producers include P!NK, Glennon Doyle, and Abby Wambach. All proceeds support the theater’s preservation efforts. Doors at 6:30 p.m.
