with RLAD and Christopher Boa

Christopher Boa has been playing tenor and baritone saxophone in Humboldt since 1996. With his roots in reggae he quickly evolved his sound to include funk, afrobeat and jazz. With a long list of local and regional projects under his belt including Bump Foundation, Afromassive, Sun Hop Fat and Moogot2, he is is currently writing a new Album for Sun Hop Fat as well as his own acid jazz ep. His sound has matured over the years and has a distinct voice both lyrical and at times full of passion emotion and edge.
He is always searching, reaching for that moment when he disappears and only the music remains.
Chris has played with the likes of:
Seun Kuti, Fred Wesley, Ray White (Zappa) George Porter Junior, Brian Haas, Lettuce, and toured with Monophonics, and Polyrhythmics.
