Before influencers, there was the “King of Dudes.” Told by his two Chow Chows, Say When tells the hilarious and mostly true story of Evander Berry Wall, the Gilded Age heir who spent his youth and fortune amassing 5,000 neckties, 500 pairs of bespoke trousers, all to become the fanciest dressed man of the 19th Century. Fusing clowning, dynamic projections, and extravagant costumes, this original interdisciplinary comedy skewers historical luxury to ask a very modern question: in a culture obsessed with status and wealth, when is it enough?
