Arcata, CA – SCRAP Humboldt has been supplying the community with reused materials and educational opportunities for over five years- but there are lots of new things in the works! Over the last year the store has more than doubled in size, the Studio educational space has moved and expanded, and the store has undergone a serious organizational makeover. If you’ve never been in before, or haven’t been in a while, come check out the amazing changes! SCRAP invites the Humboldt community to come check out what is new in 2018, at our Open House Event. Join us on Saturday, January 20th from 12:00-6:00 for behind the scenes tours, reuse crafts, raffles, refreshments, and store-wide sales! There will be hidden prizes and coupons hidden around the store! Explore the space, you never know what you may find. This event is family friendly and free to the public. SCRAP Humboldt is Humboldt County’s only creative reuse center. SCRAP Humboldt is a 501c3 nonprofit, located in the Marsh District, on the corner of South G and H Streets in Arcata. SCRAP Humboldt plays a vital role in our community by diverting useable materials from the waste stream, educating people about creative reuse and providing inexpensive art, craft, and office supplies.
