Scream-A-Torium Haunted House

Fortuna

906 Main Street. The scariest haunt of the North Coast is going to be OPEN for 11 NIGHTS of Halloween terror!

Is it scary?

Yes! The Friday and Saturday night haunts are geared up to make you very scared. After all, that is what we are here to do. We try to give you shivers and nightmares for years to come. HOWEVER, we do run a family friendly walk-Through on Sundays and the day of Halloween. This is for little ones and those that are a bit more “squeamish” to walk through and see the lights and a lot of the decorations but without the jump scares, violence and gore.

Does the Scream-A-Torium take pictures or videos while I go through?

The Scream-A-Torium does take pictures and videos of you when you go through. Sometimes they will show up on our social media pages, but mainly we just have closed circuit security cameras running at all times for the safety of the scare actors and the public.

Are the characters allowed to touch you?

Our scare actors are not allowed to touch or grab you and you are not allowed to touch or grab our scare actors or props and doing so will result in immediate ejection from the haunted maze without a refund. This maze is under video surveillance. Incidental or unintentional contact may occur. You may accidentally brush up against their costumes or props or come into contact with some of the sets, but you will not be grabbed or pushed. Scare actor contact is not intentional and is never designed to be a part of the experience. We reserve the right to prosecute any patrons who strike or harm our scare actors.

How long is the experience?

Depending on your own pace generally it takes 10-12 minutes to go through the maze (maybe a little longer), however some people may not even make it to 10 seconds.

Can I take pictures or record while going through?

No photos or video taking of any kind is allowed inside of The Scream-A-Torium Haunted House for the safety of our scare actors as well as not ruining the experience for other patrons. This is strictly enforced.

We have security cameras running throughout the haunted maze. If you are observed taking photos or video, you will be pulled aside and subject to removal without refund. Please, keep your phones and cameras securely inside your pocket while you are inside the haunt.

What if I am too scared to finish?

Once inside, emergency exits are available within 50 feet at any time. If at any time during your experience you choose not to continue you just stop, stay calm and scream “I WANT OUT”. A staff member will help direct you to leave early through an emergency exit, if necessary.

Keep in mind, if you exit the haunted maze early, there are no refunds. You’re paying us to scare you and clearly we’ve done that! Thank you for your donation.

How many people can go in together?

8 people is the maximum group size.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes. We do our best to be handicap accessible inside the attraction! There are a couple areas that may be slightly tight inside the maze. Our event staff will be present to help assist you with these areas.

Will there be Fog, Strobe Lights, Special Effects?

YES! You will experience intense audio, lighting, low visibility, strobe lights, fog, special effects, and sudden actions. You should NOT ENTER this haunted maze if you suffer from asthma, heart conditions, are prone to seizures, have physical ailments, respiratory or any type of medical problem, are pregnant or suffer any form of mental disease including claustrophobia.

Please consult your physician for personalized medical advice. Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition.

Can I bring my dog or pet with me?

Sorry, No. NO PETS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED.

What type of shoes should I wear?

It is strongly advised to wear proper footwear when attending. We frown upon flip-flops and high heels. It is recommended that you wear closed toed shoes.

If I’m in line by closing time, will I still be able to go in?

Yes, if you are in line at closing time everybody gets to go in!

Do I have to sign a waiver?

No. By entering The Scream-A-Torium you agree to the Waiver Disclaimer that is displayed at the entrance, in the lobby, at the time of purchase (online or onsite) and on your ticket.

Do you offer a haunt for kids?

Yes. The Scream-A-Torium shifts to “family mode” on Sundays 12-3PM and Halloween day 2-5PM. The Not-So-Scary Haunted Maze is great fun and ideal for guests ages 5 – 12, but it really, really depends on the child. You know your kid better than anyone. Kids can dress up and make their way through the haunt just without the fright! No special effects, scare-o-meter off and theatrical lights on.

Tickets

Do I need to print my tickets?

We do recommend printing off your tickets. However, if you do have a smartphone, we are able to scan the tickets from your phone. Have your ticket ready to be scanned before entering the venue.

Can I buy tickets onsite?

We strongly recommend buying online in advance to guarantee entry. Walk-up Ticket Booth sales are limited and subject to capacity. We accept CASH and CREDIT at the onsite ticket booth. When tickets are SOLD OUT online that means we’re officially sold out of all tickets for that night.  That means you cannot purchase tickets on-site at the Box Office either.

Will the event be cancelled for bad weather?

No. This maze is 100% indoors except for the line. There is an awning and a couple tents that will cover the people in the line for a little of it. However, the line may be long and we suggest you bring an umbrella if it is raining. There will be no refunds.

Is there an age minimum for the haunted maze?

The haunted maze is not recommended for children under the age of 13. Children under 12 should arrive with an adult and you are advised to go through the Not-So-Scary Haunted Maze that runs Sun. 12-3PM with no special effects, scare-o-meter off and theatrical lights on.

With that being said, no one should enter The Scream-A-Torium Haunted House if they are so scared that they will not enjoy an intense horror experience. We do not recommend attendance for ages under 13, and, we strongly discourage bringing babies, young children or forcing terrified children through the haunted maze. There are no refunds…even for those who are too scared to enter.
