Sean’s Shadows Presents The Cat Drum a family Literacy Party

Humboldt Literacy Project and Humboldt County Library invite families to a Family Literacy Party tour featuring The Cat Drum by Sean’s Shadows. Artist, musician, and storyteller Sean Powers presents tales of folklore and fantasy using handcrafted shadow puppets and musical instruments from around the world. This is a free event for children and the adults who love them! Attendees get to choose their own free book to keep. The Cat Drum is based on a Caribbean story about how the cat got its purr.
Since 1981, Humboldt Literacy Project has provided free, confidential English Language tutoring with programs for native English speakers, English as a second language, and family literacy.
