Come out to support an underappreciated salmon stream in Arcata! Did you know that Jolly Giant Creek, which runs right through the middle of town, supports juvenile salmon? Some of these amazing fish have been found in Shay Park at the corner of Foster Avenue and Alliance Road, where Jolly Giant Creek flows through a redwood forest full of picturesque walking trails. At this event, volunteers will pull invasive plants and clean up trash to help improve habitat for our fishy friends. Please wear long pants and sturdy closed-toed shoes. We hope to see you there!
