Using the film about women’s baseball during World War II as a thread, Iva will bring participants along on a challenging, personal, and educational journey through misogyny, homophobic bullying, and gender confusion. They will also help us understand how these personal experiences connect to larger patriarchal structures that we encounter and navigate every day. Beloved characters in this far from perfect film will assist Iva in retelling how even flawed portrayals can help us discover where we belong. All are welcome.
