Shotokan Karate

Two options to choose from: Sept. 20 - Oct. 20 or Oct. 25 - Dec. 1. Wednesdays & Fridays 12 pm - 2 pm. Shotokan is a traditional Japanese style of karate focused on personal development and empty-handed self-defense. Karate helps to build strength of character, body and mind in a safe, friendly environment through rigorous physical training. One of its main tenets is the perfection of character through the perfection of technique. Students will practice a variety of techniques including strikes, punches, blocks, and joint locks as well as traditional kata. It is both challenging and appropriate for people of all ages and physical abilities. Registration Deadline: Tuesday before the course
