Soldering Basics Workshop

A for anyone that would like to expand their metalsmithing skills to include soldering.

This is a beginning soldering workshop. Basic skills like sawing, filing, and sanding are recommended.

Our resident metalsmith, Erin Austin, will guide you through

Safety and PPE (personal protective equipment)
Preparing metals for soldering
Using solder and flux
Soldering techniques for sheet metal and wire
Clean up
Students will leave this workshop with several samples and new skills to expand their creativity with soldering.
