The comic duo Third Base! returns to the Arcata Playhouse with Son of Myths of the Plastic Age II, a new edition of their beloved 2010 show Myths of the Plastic Age. The new show introduces a raft of all-new material featuring shadow puppets, masks and unforgettable characters including bizarre mystics, embarrassed Baghead puppets, and Laughing Heads. Returning from the 2010 edition are the mad king Harold and his Herald, the Dueling Janitors and, of course, the beloved Doug & Pete. The show is a collision of physical comedy, zany word play and spectacle that ranges from the lyrical to the absurd. The brainchild of Nick Trotter and Jerry Lee Wallace, Third Base! re-styles the classic “comic duo” with just a few hats, simple props and long white underwear. Come see their unique blend of the sophisticated and ridiculous in an evening of fun for all ages!
