Southern Humboldt PRIDE

Mateel Community Center

Redwood Community Radio and Queer Humboldt present Southern Humboldt Pride, a FREE all-ages event celebrating our fabulous queer community! Join us on Saturday, June 22nd, at the Mateel Community Center in Redway from 1 PM to 9 PM for live music, poetry, art, panels, vendors, a kid zone, fire dancers, drag queens, and SOOOO much more!

This year’s kid zone features mermaids, clowns, and tie-dye fun!

Our theme this year is “Country Queer,” so be sure to wear your country finest.

To get the party started, we have exciting rock and roll and bluegrass bands, including Redwood Revolution, Hill Honey and the Wildcats, Sequoia Rose, and Hannah Mayree of the Black Banjo Reclamation Project.

Connect with your community while enjoying delicious food crafted by local chefs and quench your thirst with cold bubbles, brews, and booze by the Box Bar! They’ll be serving up Gypo Ale Mill, Humboldt Cider Company, and Humboldt Distillery’s craft organic cocktails and mocktails.

Plus, KMUD is teaming up with Vibe Queer Bar to host an after-party where the fun will continue at the Mateel from 9 PM to 1 AM. This event will feature over a dozen drag queens and burlesque dancers, plus live DJs to party the night away!

Again, that’s Saturday, June 22nd, starting at 1 PM until 1 AM. The event is all-ages until 9 PM at the Mateel Community Center, located at 59 Rusk Lane in Redway.
