Stacking Rings Workshop
Create a set of stacking rings that is just right.
This workshop is great for beginners and is an easy introduction to soldering. No experience is necessary.
Metalsmith, Erin Austin, will guide you through:
Safety and PPE (personal protective equipment)
Determining Ring Size
Forming Rings
Texturing Rings
Use of Patina
Students will leave this workshop with a set of 3-5 stacking rings in sterling silver, copper, and brass.
All supplies included.
Students must be 18 years or older.
To use the studio you must:
Sign a Liability Waiver
Wear closed toed shoes
Wear appropriate eye protection
Wear splash goggles when using the soldering area
Note: 1 pair is available in the studio at the soldering station. If you would like your own pair please bring them.
Tie back long hair
Secure loose clothing
Follow all posted Studio rules
Follow directions from instructor and/or studio monitors
We also highly suggest wearing natural fibers like cotton, hemp, etc. Synthetic fibers contain plastic that may melt onto your skin if they come into contact with heat!
