Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) has become not only a compliance requirement at the federal level but is being used at other government and private businesses to protect data.

CMMC Level 1 is the entry point within the three-tiered CMMC framework. It focuses on the protection of Federal Contract Information (FCI). Contractors at this level must comply with basic safeguarding requirements. Achieving Level 1 certification is the first step towards qualifying for DoD contracts involving less sensitive data. In the near future, you will not be able to work with the government if you do not have CMMC Level 1.
