Start your year sustainably with SCRAP Humboldt!
Did you set a new year’s resolution to be more creative, organized, sustainable or to help our community? SCRAP invites the Humboldt community to achive their goals and celebrate a sustainable 2019 at their Open House Party, Saturday, Janurary 19th from 11:00-6:00pm. They are hosting free creative reuse crafts, raffles, drop-in volunteering, and store-wide sales! Participate in a trasure hunt, find hidden prizes and coupons hidden around the store! Explore the space, you never know what you may find. Come see the newly re-expanded education studio! This event is family friendly and free to the public. SCRAP Humboldt has been supplying the community with reused materials and educational opportunities since 2012, but there are lots of new things in the works! Come learn about the ever changing monthly workshops, see what eductional programs are happening and meet other like minded folks. If you’ve never been to SCRAP before, or haven’t been in a while, come see how SCRAP can help you achive your 2019 goals! SCRAP Humboldt is Humboldt County’s only creative reuse center. SCRAP Humboldt is a 501c3 nonprofit, located in the Marsh District, on the corner of South G and H Streets in Arcata. SCRAP Humboldt plays a vital role in our community by diverting useable materials from the waste stream, educating people about creative reuse and providing inexpensive art, craft, and office supplies.
