Stop Dirty Banking Rally
Join our peaceful rally, using signs and songs, to ask two US banks, Wells Fargo and Chase, to stop banking on climate disaster. These banks, along with Chase and Citi, have loaned more than $3 trillion to fund fossil fuel projects since 2016. We’ll meet at 11th and G streets in Arcata on the sidewalk outside Wells Fargo Bank. From there we’ll walk to Chase Bank at the Jacoby Storehouse. We will not enter the banks or harass bank employees or customers. Our message is to bank bosses, not our neighbors, to tell them we want them to invest in clean energy, not new pipelines, oil drilling, and fracking.
