Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Come to “Sunrise at the Refuge” a.k.a the Aleutian Cackling Goose Fly-Off & Family Fun Weekend” at Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3, rain or shine. Meet at the Richard J. Guadagno Headquarters and Visitor Center. The gate will open at 6:00 a.m. Join interpretive guides along the trail to view the habitats of southern Humboldt Bay at sunrise. Watch thousands of Aleutian cackling geese fly off their night time roosts. Family fun activities include bird silhouette painting and bird house building at the Visitor Center. Bring a mug for coffee, tea, or cocoa. or visit
