Surfrider’s Invasive Species Removal
Come lend a hand at the Lanphere Dunes! Join us on August 9th from 9 AM to 12 PM for an invasive species removal event. We’ll be working together to protect our delicate dune ecosystem.
No experience is necessary, just a love for native plants and a willingness to get your hands dirty. We’ll have hand tools, but most of the work will be done by hand.
We’ll have two departures into the dunes: 9:15 AM and 10:15 AM. A local U.S. Fish and Wildlife expert will be there to teach us about dune restoration and the importance of this work.
Please bring your own water bottle, gloves, and leave furry friends at home. The meeting location is; Lanphere Dunes at Drifting Sands Trailhead | Coordinates: (40.895097, -124.142.142040).
