Susan Dambroff: Conversations with Trees
San Francisco poet Susan Dambroff will read from her book, Conversations with Trees, on Friday, October 12th at 7 p.m. at Northtown Books. Dambroff will be joined by local writers that attend the annual Mattole Writers’ Camp that Dambroff also attends. Among the local writers who will read are Vinnie Peloso, Jeff DeMark, Dan Levinson, Jim Steinberg and others. Dambroff’s Conversation with Trees, published by Finishing Line Press in 2017, features poems are that are concisely written, accessible and mysterious, moving from the present to distant memories and back again through dreams and gorgeous imagery. Dambroff has been part of the literary and performing scene in San Francisco for over 25 years. She performs with her performing partner Chris Kammler at bookstores and other venues all over the Bay Area.
