Swingin’ Country Night
The Bayside Grange #500 & Kenny Ray & the Mighty Rovers invite you to join us for an evening of music & dance on Saturday, March 15, at the Bayside Grange, corner of old Arcata and Jacoby Creek Roads. Doors open at 6 p.m. with food ready for the hungry, dance lessons begin at 6:15 p.m., with dancing really taking off at 7p.m. Kenny Ray & the Mighty Rovers will entertain, and the good folks at the Grange will tickle your tastebuds with tasty treats. Admission is $8.00, $5.00 for students, kids under 12 years of age free.
Kenny Ray and the Mighty Rovers are passionate about toe tappin’ dance music from the 1930s and into the 60s. They play Roots Country, Honky Tonk and Big Band Swing that will entice you to frolic the night away.
Along with Kenny Ray (Ken Jorgenson) on Flat Top Guitar and Vocals the Mighty Rovers include: Brooks Otis: Pedal Steel, Clarinet, and Saxophone; Darren Weiss: Electric 5 String Tenor Guitar; Errol Previde: Hollow Body Electric Guitar; Gina Jorgenson: Rhythm Guitar and Vocals; Maria McFarlin: Stand Up Bass.
Fine wine, beer and other beverages will be available for your enjoyment, along with fresh good grub (dinner and desserts).
Please bring your own cups, mugs, glasses (ie, pint mason jars) if possible, to help us keep moving towards our goal of Zero Waste events.
