The Redwood Jazz Alliance’s 11th Season opens with a homecoming by pianist Randy Porter and bassist Shao Way Wu, who met as students at HSU three decades ago. They recently reconnected—and clicked—in Portland, where they both live, and laid down a gorgeous album of Shao Way’s compositions.
