The rich and powerful Orgon and his mother have fallen under the influence of the falsely pious con-artist Tartuffe. Orgon’s family will do anything to help him see Tartuffe’s blatant lies, to no avail. Thus begins the set-up for the no-prisoners over-the-top farce about truth, lies, and one of the most mischievous scoundrels to ever disgrace the stage.
