The Birds & Bees Educational Series
Join us on Saturday, February 25th at the Humboldt Botancial Gardens (just south of College of the Redwoods campus) from 10:00am to Noon to learn about a temperate woodland garden; specifically, the beautiful Moss Family Temperate Woodland Garden, as presented by Curators Tim and June Walsh.
Their extensive knowledge and experience in this garden will give you a chance to learn about the unique growing climate in Humboldt that favors such plants as rhododendrons and azaleas. They will lead a tour and happily answer questions along the way. We highly recommend this informative program for all plant lovers! Members receive free admission, non-members pay the Garden Admission price. Reservations not necessary.
This Series is made possible through a grant by the McLean Foundation. The Humboldt Botanical Gardens is partnering with the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge to present monthly educational programs titled “The Birds and Bees Educational Series” focusing on plants, animals and insects of the North Coast Region.
