The DeMarkov Brothers: Stories & Songs
Moonstone Crossing Winery presents the Brothers DeMarkov on Sunday, April 26th from 6pm-8:30pm. The sit down show will feature stories by both Paul and Jeff DeMark along with a variety of original songs and roots covers. Ace slide guitarist Jeff Landen is also part of the group and will be featured prominently.
Paul DeMark has been publishing a series of short memoir pieces on Substack detailing about his days as a drummer backing up blues greats such as Sunnyland Slim, Albert Collins, Mike Bloomfield and more. He will read one of those pieces.
Jeff DeMark will perform a humorous piece about legendary Texas musician Doug Sahm ofthe Sir Douglas Quintet and the Texas Tornados. DeMark befriended Sahm and the musician used to hang around Humboldt going to Crabs games and enjoying the Humboldt vibe. Jeff has been performing his stories and one man shows in the area and on the road for over 30 years.
Paul DeMark and Jeff Landen are also in the soul/roots music band the Big Eight. Landen has been a longtime member of the popular Bayou Swami’s band.
Tickets for this special show are only $10 (Cash or Venmo). There are only 30 seats available, so reservations are required with a couple wiggle room seats available at the door!
