Trailhead Hosts at Black Sands Beach

Friends of the Lost Coast and the Bureau of Land Management’s Trailhead Hosts program organizes volunteers to engage visitors at Black Sands Beach in Shelter Cove on the weekends of highest summer usage. Trailhead Hosts answer questions and share information about the King Range, beach safety, park rules/regulations, and Leave No Trace principles. The upcoming Memorial Day Weekend event runs 4 days, May 23-26 and volunteer shifts are available all 4 days. Email justin@lostcoast.org for more information or to volunteer.
