Arcata Tree Planting

North Fork Janes Creek

We are smothering invasive reed canary grass and then planting trees and shrubs in the riparian zone of NF Janes Creek and could use volunteers! We have a large area to mulch over and plant with over 500 trees so the more the merrier! The event is from 9:00 am-1:00 pm with breakfast and lunch for volunteers. The location is the intersection of West End Road and West End Court in Arcata with parking at Creative Mathematics. We’ll also be having a raffle at the end for local coffee shop cards. Tools, gloves, mud boots and water will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes. Thank you and hope to see you there!
